Calling all schools!

The Australian Science Teachers Association (ASTA) school grants for National Science Week are now open. Grants of up to $500 are open to all Australian schools (preschools to senior secondary). Start your application here.

The grants are supported by the Australian Government to support teachers and schools deliver engaging STEM events and activities during Science Week. The are assessed with consideration of the following criteria (these are ranked in order of importance- 1 is most important, through to 4, which is least important):

1. Likely impact of proposed activity on student learning outcomes in STEM.
2. Contribution to the ongoing and increased student participation and engagement in school STEM programs.
3. Practicality and scope of proposed activity.
4. Potential for parent and/or community and/or neighbouring school/s involvement.
